2010 SPRING LEAF DROP-OFF PROGRAM

This program is NOT available for businesses. The Leaf Drop-off Program is
for unincorporated Lake County, Indiana residents to bring their bagged
leaves and branches to specific locations for disposal. This program will be
available from April 1 until May 1, 2010.

Material accepted is limited to leaves and branches. Branches shall not
exceed 3 inches in diameter by 3 feet in length. Residents must place their
leaves and branches into brown, biodegradable yard waste bags. Leaves in
plastic bags will NOT be accepted. Residents are responsible for the
purchase of their own biodegradable yard waste bags.


Drop-off Locations

1. Schererville Community Center, 1515 W. Lincolnway, Schererville

2. Lake County Highway Department, Rt. 2 and 41, Lowell

3. Calumet Township Multi-Purpose Center, 1900 W. 41st Avenue, Gary

4. Lake County Fairgrounds, 809 S. Court Street, Crown Point


Do NOT use plastic bags

Leaves and branches MUST be free of garbage, foreign objects or chemicals.

PLACE yard waste bags of leaves and branches INTO the marked dumpster.
