  Choose from a variety of hands-on inquiry-based activities. Using teamwork, games and experience, students are challenged to recognize their role in building an environmentally responsible society. One program per year can be scheduled for your class or grade level. Please reserve a science lab for your presentations if available. All programming is offered at NO COST to your school or organization!

  litter prevention

  Grade Level:  PreK-2nd

  Program Length:  45 minutes

  Students will learn about littering and how it affects the environment through engaging activities and games. This program emphasizes social responsibility.

PROGRAM LENGTH:  45 minutes

Students will learn about the various components of a landfill and its role in keeping the groundwater clean. This program includes a demonstrative experiment and a hands-on group project that will teach the layers and functions of a landfill.

  Students will learn which natural resources are required to make metal, glass, paper, and plastic. This program includes an active component to understand the manufacturing processes.

• HEALTHY HABITATS FOR ALL

  This is a shortened version of the Healthy Homes and Habitats field trip. Students will learn about the conservation of water and energy in and around their home, as well as how to create healthy habitats for wildlife. The program includes a ReUz It craft.
